Official Statistics in Development - release of data on the Community workforce
Following the first releases of data relating to the Community Workforce as standalone files within this publication, from next month they will be embedded within our standard publication resources. Therefore from next month the data in XLSX format will be found in Table 22 of our NHS HCHS Workforce Statistics, Trusts and core organisations - data tables file. The CSV data will be found in the NHS HCHS Workforce Statistics, Trusts and core organisations - CSV data files ZIP file.

Summary
This report shows monthly numbers of NHS Hospital and Community Health Services (HCHS) staff. The data is split between staff working in NHS Trusts and other core organisations in England (excluding primary care staff), and staff working in NHS support organisations and central bodies. Data are available as full-time equivalent and headcount and for all months from 30 September 2009 onwards.
These data are a summary of the validated data extracted from the NHS HR and Payroll system.
