Mental Health Services Monthly Statistics, Performance April 2026

Please note, NHS England is aware of an issue with metric MH148 (Number of open referrals with a Presenting Complaint recorded at the end of the reporting period). The issue means that data is estimated to be 25-30% higher than the true value. Given this data is provided to support data quality and provide context, no action is being taken to correct these figures for 24-25. Data for 25-26 will be corrected in due course with the publication of the end of year files. Data for 26-27 is correct for May 2026 Performance onwards with April 26 data being corrected as part of the supplementary run

Data for April 2026 has been restated based on the May 2026 cut. This is to address the issues with the derivations of Sub ICB of Residence which were explained when the data was first published. The restated data can be found in a zip file on this publication page and contains the main CSV file, the referral spells CSV and the OAPS CSV files. Other data should not be impacted and therefore is not included. Any data visualisations will continue to display performance data and will not include this restated data.
