Care Identity Management release 8.38

Care Identity Management release 8.38 goes live on 27 August 2026, subject to final approval.

This release:

• enhances the self-service Care ID journey to support additional services while strengthening email verification through controlled challenge attempts
• improves authenticator report transparency and accuracy by introducing advance notification of upcoming enhancements
• fixes an issue where inactive authenticators continued to appear in reports
• updates the NCRS role/activity configuration and journey content to ensure dental professionals receive the agreed baseline access through the self-service journey

We expect there to be no downtime during the release.
